   Steven L. Shope, Sacristan

Steve is originally from Hershey, PA.  He studied at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Utah State University with a BS in Biology.  He spent 4 years in Paraguay, South America with Peace Corps. Steve came to Oregon to work with the US Forest Service and then moved to Bend to work with adjudicated youth.  He now works for a nonprofit agency in Central Oregon assisting those in need.  Steve serves as RCIA team member and lector.  He is an Instituted Acolyte. Steve strives toward helping others find a deeper understanding, reverence, and love for the Mass, whether in Ordinary Form or Extraordinary Form.
